Here’s a test. Grab any six-year-old, preferably one you are related to—thus avoiding a police conversation, and hand him red, blue and yellow crayons. Provide some paper—thus avoiding a mom conversation—and ask him to draw the Superman S Logo.
Chances are very good you’ll get something recognizable.
But why is that?
Recently we did some research on the Superman Symbol as homework for a website, yoursuperpower.com, and found that very few logos stand the test of time quite as well as the iconic brand mark.
Let’s take a look at how the mark has evolved since it was introduced waaaay back in Action Comics #1, June 1938. (That’s before the Nazis invaded Poland, kids.)
