2014 American Advertising Federation ADDY Award Winner

How much money did John D. Rockefeller leave at the end of his life?

All of it.

That’s why one of the founding principals here at Tidal Wave is to not just be profitable (that’s kind of mandatory), but to use that profit to make the world a better place.

Which makes our ADDY award win even sweeter. The American Advertising Federation is the nation’s oldest national advertising trade association, and annually the local federations gather together for the ADDY awards. Over 40,000 ad professionals participate in a peer-evaluation to determine what marketing materials are worth commending.

Looks like we made the cut.

And we’re even more thrilled that the work receiving accolades is the poster campaign we created for Union Coffee. You can see all the work here, but in short, Union gives 10 percent of all coffee sales to non-profit organizations, and we were charged with spreading the word about their donations to child literacy.

The trophy is nice. But helping over 5,000 children from low-income neighborhoods maintain or improve their reading levels?

That’s the kind of waves we like to make.
